The 2024 World Class Junior Camp – Europe 

The medallists from the 2023 U17 European Championship to a 9-day training camp that will be organized in July 2024 in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. The camp will be hosted in close cooperation with the Federação Portuguesa de Badminton. 

The camp is a part of the World Class programme, a programme that supports the development of European top players and the strongest talents in Europe through various projects. 

Goals for the camp: 

Support the development of a High-Performance mindset for the best European U17 Junior players 

Develop and improve discipline-specific badminton skills 

High level sparring for the best European U17 players through training with more experienced players.

Dates

Date of the camp: 7 July – 16 July 2024

Place

The camp will take place at the great facilities of the Portuguese National Training Centre based in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. 

Players & Coaches

 Players 

Medallists from the U17 European Championship 2023 are invited (see invited players at the end of this invitation letter) 

High level European sparring players for both singles and doubles will be also invited (not listed) 

Coaches 

Head Coach: Jose Antonio Crespo, Spain (Former top player with highest world ranking of 13 in Men´s double, participated at the Olympic Games, professional badminton coach) 

Other top-level coaches will assist the head coach during the camp (Names TBC)
