The North Atlantic Camp was held this year in Akranes, Iceland. The camp started on the Friday 20th of July. Participants came from the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland. There were a total of 25 participants in the age groups of U13 – U19.

The days were very well organized. Training started at 9:00 each morning and ended at 21:00 in the evening with breaks for meals. The camp was very active and the kids were very happy with the variety of the practises. Training was a mixture of technique, fitness, mental, flexibility, recovery, multi feed and power. A mixture of single and doubles excercises.

The group was often divided in smaller groups to focus more on the individual. Also were there of course matches played and fun games.

A coaching course was on site at the camp. 2 coaches from Iceland, 1 from Faroe Islands and 4 from Greenland.

Mads Grill Mousing was the Head Coach for this camp and he did an extremely good job and was really well liked by everybody.

One day the whole group went on a sight seeing trip where they went on hiking, saw waterfalls, jumped into a river, BBQ and had a really nice time.

The camp was a great success for the participants and the coaches. Although it was difficult, the camp will help the players to become better badminton players with higher skills.
